Schedule of London Program 2001

Regular classes will be held Mon-Fri 10-1, except on fieldtrip days. Diane Atkinson's course on "London Women's Social History" will meet for 3 hours on Wednesday afternoons.

Weeks 1-3, Sept. 24-Oct. 12: London Narrative Poets

Week 1-Thurs., Sep. 27:Kelmscott Manor (guided tour) and Oxford (walking tour).
 Fri., Sep. 28:Canterbury
Week 2-Fri., Oct. 5:Hampton Court
Week 3-Fri., Oct. 12:Milton's house
 
Other trips: Westminster, Tower of London, Chapel of the Savoy, Middle Temple, Cambridge, Windsor, Whitehall Banqueting Room, Queen's House at Greenwich, St. Paul's Covent Garden, museums

Weeks 4-6, Oct. 15-Nov. 2: Victorian London

Week 4-Fri., Oct. 19:East End walking tour with Bill Fishman; Geoffreye Museum
Week 5-  
Week 6-Wed., Oct. 31The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare at the Royal Shakespeare Company, 7:15 pm.
 
Other trips: Leighton House museum and Holland Park; Bedford Park; Victoria and Albert and Tate Britain musuems; Royal Holloway College Picture Gallery

Week 7, November 5-10: Vacation

Weeks 8-10, Nov. 12-30: London in the Age of the American Revolution
